Description
11th March 2007, I won't forget the day I got my tablet. And I'm naming him Tod, acronym for Tablet of DOOM. xD
The brand of the tablet isn't Wacom, it's by Genius, a Taiwan brand. But I do not care about brands, as long as it works for me, I'm happy enough. x3 My mum and I were browsing through a few shops in Sim Lim Square and since I've been pestering my mum for 3 years for a drawing tablet (and webcam, but I got that a few months back. ), I decided to look around myself to see if I'm able to spot any at a much lower price, and lo and behold! There's one selling at S$69!!! We continued on to other electronics shop to check, but they are above $100, with the Wacom Graphire series starting at S$399 and onwards, depending on the size of the tablet. x_x;;; But... wow, for a 8x6 (inch) tablet, it's a bargain. o_O (In the same mall, just 2 levels above that shop, another shop's selling the exact same brand and model for S$220.) The shopkeeper even said that they are selling it below cost price (S$80+) because they are trying to clear stock.
So.. I played around with it and found that it was hard to draw while the image forms somewhere else, not below the pen/pencil. >.< The best I can do is a few doodles, but, meh, it's better than nothing. DX I feel like I'm re-learning how to draw again.... ._.;;; (But I know it'll pay off soon! xD)
Tablet comes along with a cordless pen, cordless mouse and an installation cd. (The desktop is acting all weird so I can't install all the softwares, so I can draw with it, but not with the pressure sensitivity on... T_T At least it works on the laptop. )
